In a short interview we interviewed the winner of the Women's GALA Injana Goodman. She told us, for example, how many times a week she trains and what her plans are for the future.

You've won the GALA and OPEN tournaments at TATAMY 8. You've had a lot of success finishing opponents before the limit. But was there a moment at the tournament when you got into trouble or did everything go according to your plan?

There were a few moments in each of my matches where things were definitely not going to plan. In my last match in the GALA Martyna managed to take my back and start attacking, but luckily I managed to turn it around!

How would you evaluate the overall impression of the TATAMY tournament. What did you like most about the tournament and what would you recommend the organizers to improve?

It was a really well run tournament with really good prizes. I would say maybe a later start time for the GALA since waking up at 6am wasn’t a lot of fun.

What did you manage to visit during your stay in the Czech Republic? Was it your first time in the Czech Republic?

We didn’t manage to visit much so can we were really tired and only went for the weekend, but we got to go to a cat cafe! And yes, it was my first time visiting.

If you had to describe your typical day, what does it look like? Do you also practice Gi or do you train purely No-Gi.

I only train no gi, and I usually train on a competition class around 5/6 times a week and evening classes most days as well.

What are your plans for the future and what tournaments do you want to participate in the coming months?

I will hopefully continue to get invited into shows and do smaller tournaments. I’ll hopefully be doing Europeans and World championships again later on in the year!
