This Saturday, February 17, the second ADCC Trials tournament will take place in Zagreb, Croatia. The winner will secure a place at the ADCC World. Who will participate in this event from the Czech and Slovak scene?
This is one of the toughest No-Gi tournaments in Europe, as many call it. Every year the interest in European ADCC Trials grows and so does the competition.
This year there will be a total of 10 Czech competitors and 5 from Slovakia. Although this number is lower than last year, when 13 Czechs and 4 Slovaks competed in Warsaw, Poland, only seven of them managed to advance to the next round in the huge competition.
The competition will be fierce, especially in the weight categories up to -76.9 kg and -87.9 kg, where over 100 competitors entered in each category.
MEN
CATEGORIES -65.9 kg
In this category we will see several of our representatives, including Martin Rapčan, who reached the quarterfinals of the last Trials, where he lost to Cameron Donnelly. Martin is already an experienced ADCC tournament participant and is one of the favorites in the division according to FloGrappling's estimates.

Stanislav Řezáč, a regular at TATAMY tournaments and winner of the GRIND tournament from SWAG Brno, will also make his debut appearance at the ADCC Trials.
Slovakia will have two representatives. One of them is SGA representative and IBJJF Europeans medalist Nino Ondris. The other will be only 20 years old Simon Klein, who represents SAI CLUB Martin.
CATEGORIES -76.9 kg
In this division there will be three Czech representatives, all from Brno. The most prominent name among them is Jan Stach, captain of the Czech and Czechoslovak team at TATAMA. At the last tournament in Poland, Jan made it to the eighth round, where he lost to Mateusz Szczeciński.
Other representatives will also be regular participants of TATAMA tournaments and also competitors who also participated in the last Trials tournament, Petr Mynář and Michal Trávníček.
CATEGORIES -87.9 kg
Here we will see one representative from the Czech Republic and one from Slovakia. Viktor Franc from Draculíno Zlín will represent the Czech Republic, while Patrik Čábelka from Jiu-Jitsu Academy Bratislava will represent Slovakia.
WOMEN
We will have the biggest representation in the category up to -65 kg, where four fighters will be presented. Linda Stach and Zdeňka Chmelařová will represent SWAG Brno, Jemima Ejindu from Pretorian Pardubice and Zuzana Kroulíková from Checkmat Poznań.
In the +65kg category we will see the silver medallist from ADCC Trials 2021, Slávka Holubjaková from SAI CLUB Martin, and Lucie Pudilová from SBG Ireland, who finished fourth at the September Trials.
Also going to her first ADCC Trials will be MMA fighter Veronika Zajícová, fighting under the RFA organization.
