Here are the results of the IBJJF Europeans 2024 black belts in Paris. Who became the European champion?
As every year, in the middle of January, the IBJJF European Kimono Championship tournament was held. The biggest names that took part in the tournament were undoubtedly wrestlers such as Micael Galvao, Adam Wardziński, Andrs Murasaki and Espen Mathiesen.
The aforementioned Micael Galvao, 20 years old, dominated the Middle division, scoring four submissions from four matches. He then defeated Atos BJJ star Andy Murasaki in the finals.
Adam Wardziński of Poland who reached the final for the second time in a row, where he was again up against his great rival Fellipe Andrew. He lost the last final at Europeans 7-0 on points. This time, however, he came back and won 9-0 on points to become the European Heavyweight Champion.
The lightest category, Rooster, was dominated for the third time in a row by Brazilian Vitorino Soares representing AOJ Thalison.
The Light category was dominated by the winner of the last West Coast ADCC Trials, American Elijah Dorsey.
In the women's divisions, Brazil's Gabrieli Pessanha traditionally reigned supreme, winning both her Super Heavy and Open Class categories.
